It’s well known, start typing in a search, and Google offers suggestions before you’ve even finished typing. Often these suggestions are funny, strange, slightly odd, etc. But how does Google come up with these search suggestions?
Suggestions Based On Real Searches – real searches done by other people, largely ranked on popularity.
Suggestions Can Vary By Region & Language – Location is important, the country you’re in, the state or province, even the city, all can produce different suggestions.
Previously Searched Suggestions – Perhaps the most important factor in the auto complete, and responsible for many funny or rude suggestions.
These are the three basic ways Google works to provide you with search suggestions, but there are many more factors Google takes into account, maybe I’ll write more about it in a latter article, but for now, here are a bunch of funny Google suggestions.
